First, compare the size/hash between Sourceforge and your copy. Most of the time the downloaded copy itself is corrupted. If they are same then try the image on Virtualbox. If it works on Virtualbox, then try the in-built "start-up disk creator" if you use Ubuntu or "USB image writer" if you have earlier version of Pearl.
Please keep us posted if you face any further issue.

Help!  I have tried to create a live version of Pearl 7.1 (32 bit) using UNetbootin and multibootusb.  I have also tried burning it to a CD/DVD.  When I try to boot, the result is the same: The initial screen with the Pearl logo (and nothing else) appears and then it hangs.  I really want to try out Pearl....  Can someone please help?

1. Open "Sound Settings"
2. You will see "Sound effects" tab. If you don't go to that tab.
3. Select "No sounds" in "Sound theme" options.
4. 'Mute" or Reduce the alert volume above the "Sound theme" options.

I've used Etcher and Rosa image writer with the same results. Also will not load into Gnome-Boxes. Is there a prefered image writer?
Post your Install Issues Here / Pinguybuilder on Pearl 8 (19.04) upcoming release
« Last post by Administrator on February 04, 2019, 07:13:22 PM »
I'm having problem with Pinguybuilder on all the Pearl 8 series.

Pinguybuilder is the software installed to all releases which makes respinning your own distro easy and straight forward and through a GUI interface. If you don't require this software no issue here. :-) If you do DO NOT UPGRADE TO PEARL 8 STAY ON 7 . I am working on a new solution for iso creation for future release as priority and will post here throughout the testing phase.
