Pearl Linux 7 issues.
« on: May 11, 2018, 01:14:01 PM »
Issues with Themes not working when I choose desktop for Snow Leopard it won’t add the wallpaper nor change the menu icon from Pearl to Apple icon. That goes for all of them.

Second issue is Plank does not work with themeing either and won’t change no matter how many times I try.

Third issue on every boot into Pearl OS

Configured directory for incoming files does not exist

Please make sure the directory “/home/Scott/Downloads” exists or configured it with blueman-services

Who is Scott that’s my question?
Anyways if you can fix this that would be great or tell me how to fix.

Chad.

Starting with your third issue,
Open Bluetooth Manager from Menu>System>Preferences>Hardware>Bluetooth Manager. In "View" tab, select Local Services". In "Transfer>Incoming Folder" select a new folder, where you want your incoming files to be stored.
Problem #2:
Plank will not change with changing theme. You can try a different dock like "Cairo".
Problem #1:
If you want to change wallpaper, you need to change it from "Background" tab. Changing theme will not change wallpaper. As for changing menu icon, I don't think you can change it with apple icon just by some clicks.

Just downloaded and booted up Pear Linux and have the same bluetooth error with "scott/downloads" but cannot access bluetooth manager either. I don't use bluetooth. Not sure if there is any on the system (fairly old hp laptop) There are some other startup/shutdown issues. Apparently something to do with graphics, caught in some kind of loop. I can post on another thread about that if it would be helpful.

PS: Having to type in a verification and answer several questions to post seems a bit excessive.
